Classes Designed to Fit Our Student's Spanish Language Learning Needs

The Spanish Classes offered by Diglos include a dynamic, research-based Spanish curriculum to engage today's students online. Diglos focuses on creating an educational experience that is engaging and interactive to help students feel confident in speaking, writing, and listening to Spanish. We've created two class types (Casual and Professional) to help shape our classes around the most common goals for our students.

Students are welcome to start on one path and take a few courses without earning a certificate. Diglos is here to support all students with their Spanish Language Learning goals.

Casual

The goal for casual students is to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. basic personal and family information, shopping and dining, local geography, employment). A graduate from the casual course communicates simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on everyday and social situations. 

  • Adults of any age (18+)

  • Wants to learn basic Spanish communication skills

  • Travel, dining, or basic conversational needs 

  • Class schedule of 90 minutes a week for 8 weeks

Professional

A professional graduate, at the end of this course, will understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. The professional graduate interacts with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers possible without strain for either party. The professional graduate is able to communicate clearly and with detail on a wide range of subjects.

  • Adults of any age (18+)

  • Wants to have bilingual or biliterate communication skills

  • Possible purpose of certificate of biliteracy or relocating needs 

  • Class schedule of two 90-minute weekly classes for 16 weeks
